MetaDSP helps travel planning platform expand into the US

FamilyTravel, a travel planning platform based in the U.K., was looking to drive more traffic to their website and spread their cause of helping more families plan the “perfect vacation”. The platform mainly provides tools necessary for family vacation planning such as expert destination guides, ideas for things to do around the world, plus amazing contests, travel deals and more. They chose to make use of the MetaDSP platform to fully automate traffic acquisition to their website and optimize for conversions.
They’ve been serving customers in the U.K. and Germany, and they wanted to expand into the US to become a main destination for family traveling services.
The Goal
• Raise brand awareness in the US.
• Drive more traffic to their website
• Optimize acquired traffic towards conversions by pushing acquired users down the funnel through re-marketing
The Approach
• Adopted MetaDSP to fully automate traffic acquisition to the website.
• Used the “auto-creative” feature on MetaDSP, which lets the engine assemble creative dynamically from the website content
• Targeted both Desktop and Mobile devices
• Used geo-targeting to reach only the residents of the United States
• Set the campaign duration to be 30 days
The Results
• 120% increase in number of total visits to website from the US split across 5 states
• Average session duration of 3:23 Minutes per session and 4 pages per session
• 1.1% conversion ratio. Conversions were measured through Google Analytics
• MetaDSP acquired traffic for the website via 1,419 Apps and 156 Websites with extremely narrow audience targeting
While they were not looking to replace their in-house marketing efforts, the primary objective was to augment their internal resources with a tool that can operate on “auto-pilot” and help amplify their reach to tap into the US market and acquire users in a new territory.
Through MetaDSP’s A.I. powered engine, the campaign was successful in achieving both macro and micro goals set by their team.
